Networking women for generational change International
NETWOGEC under one force with specific objectives manifold for the development and progress of all without diversities in every dimensions of religion, nor region. Few days later, she summoned the women to a meeting to discuss the relevant of said Institution to the women of Liberia, Africa and the world at large. The idea was accepted by 95 (ninety five) percent of the women and reached a concession that they agreed to be a part of such a great making endeavor for history making.
Within the same era, the Network, working together and having being supported by AWDF (African Women Development Fund) organized an honoring program for AWDF for their work and support to women groups over the years without diversity in grants of which we are a success story to the world in their favor and was represented by two of her staff in presence of Madam Beatrice the Grant Manager and Madam Rose the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in a grand ball at one of Liberia best and most talk about the Corona Hotel in Sinkor, Monrovia.
The program was sponsor by both the women groups and AWDF herself. The most powerful Superintendent of Liberia at the time Madam Grace Tee Kpaan of Montserrado County at the time served as Key Note Speaker; addressed the women in every dimensions of their lives, from the bed rooms to the public opening their eyes and bringing them from the back to the front encouraging them to speak out for their right and advocate to partake in public services and to be just a housewife.
The program was well attended with 42 Members of the Network as well as concerned women and groups to include officials of Government and those of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection. NETWOGEC was registered on March 12′ 2015 by the Founder/CEO and President as one of the three Incorporators. Since the establishment, the Network in awareness campaign on the rights of women, women’s land rights, advocacy, training in capacity building of Members in economic empowerment, Micro Finance, Food Security, Reproductive Health among other.
